Psychological Testing Our psychologist, Dr. William Jenkins, is a Nevada Licensed Psychologist who administers psychological testing. Dr. Jenkins has been administering psychological tests for twenty-five years in the areas of mental health, vocational rehabilitation, substance abuse, career development and school settings. He has experience testing adults, adolescents, and children. At SCN, we offer psychological testing for Intelligence (IQ), Aptitude, Depression, and other psychological and cognitive issues. For these applications, we employ a variety of testing instruments including: Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence (WASI); Wechsler Individual Achievement Test (WIAT-II), Beck Depression Inventory, and the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI-II). We also conduct a number of other forms of testing. We use a computer assisted test, the TOVA, for measuring attention, the Brown questionnaire for attention deficit, as well as the Castro-Hill behavioral scale for attention deficit. For alcohol and drug evaluations, we use the SASSI-II to measure dependence. It serves as an adjunct to the DSM-IV diagnostic criteria. For anger, we use the STAXI ( State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory-2) as a measure of anger patterns. For memory assessment, we use the MicroCog which is a computer assisted testing instrument.
